Carol Hibbard, NCTM, teaches piano students of all ages. She earned her BA in Music and Elementary Education from the University of Washington, has taught for over 30 years, and is both Nationally Certified and Washington State Certified. Having just completed her term as WSMTA District II Vice President, she continues to serve in leadership both in Eastside Chapter and Greater Newcastle Federation Music Club. Carol relishes learning and performing concerti with her students each year for the Federation festival, in fact she and her collaborative partner lead teacher workshops on teaching concerti. Her students have earned “High Honors with Distinction” both in Piano and Music Theory in the Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program, and placed as winners in the Greater Newcastle “Helen Crowe Snelling Competition.” An adjudicator, Carol judges for festivals and masterclass series around Washington. With four grown children, she and her husband share their “empty nest” with the Piano Studio’s puppy named Tempo.
